After several unsuccessful attempts to locate a gas main underneath a steel reinforced foundation along a canal near Berlin, Germany, the engineering firm coordinating the project called in the help of Reduct. Entering the main from a manhole 300m away on the other side of the canal, Reduct was able to establish the exact location to within 30cm. The nearest 'unsuccessful attempt' was more than 9m away.

In 2004, a section of a dyke protecting the sub sea-level countryside in the south of Holland from flooding collapsed. The fact emerged that a water main running underneath the dyke had sprung a leak caused the soil to saturate initiating the collapse. Reduct NV was called in by the insurance companies as an independent expert to establish the exact position of the water main after the incident in order to help determine the cause of the leak.
